Our History

St. Gonzaga Budini secondary school derives its name from its patron Saint Gonzaga Gonza, one of the Uganda Martyrs, and the area Budini. However, the school is registered as Budini Senior Secondary School by the Ministry of Education and Sports. St. Gonzaga Budini Secondary School was founded by the Mill Hill Fathers in 1904 as a Vernacular school, then a Sub-Grade school until 1946 when it turned secondary and was transferred to the current Jinja College according to the available information. The secondary school was re-established in the 1950’s and became Government Aided in 1982. It has since flourished becoming one of the centres excellence in Ugandan Education system.
